Story In the distant past, the Cassarians were a highly-advanced civilization. Through leveraging the vast crystalline mineral deposits on their planet, Cassara, they were able to propel civilization forward at a staggering pace. While most of these crystals served more mundane purposes, the most precious crystalline mineral, Cassinite, unlocked a Golden Age of wealth and exploration. Cassinite accelerated technological development by immense leaps, allowing for travel throughout the known galaxy and beyond. However, as Cassinite reserves depleted, a mass exodus ensued. Despite the certainty of a difficult life, a small portion of the population remained, determined to preserve their home planet Cassara. The once easily traversed expanses of Cassara now pose significant challenges for the remaining inhabitants.
